The Art of Speaking in Public

‘There are only two types of speakers in the world: 1. the nervous and 2. liars.’  Mark Twain

Following the huge success of our debating courses for adults earlier this year, Intelligence Squared and Genesis Debate Programmes are delighted to announce another workshop this autumn for adults who want to take their speaking skills to the next level.

Whether you’d like to express yourself more persuasively in everyday life or boost your ability to speak in front of a crowd for professional purposes, our team of expert coaches will work with you in small groups, teaching the skills of formal debating to help you up your game. You will learn how to craft an argument and get your message across with impact. You’ll improve your ability to think quickly and creatively under pressure, and respond to challenges with resilience and poise.

Whatever your previous experience, the course will boost your powers of persuasion and give you extra confidence to defend your opinions in any scenario – from the dining room to the boardroom.
