We have no clean energy problem - we have the sun

Humans have always been sun-worshippers, so harnessing solar energy is a deeply appealing idea. And with concerns over global warming, both panels on roofs and vast solar plants in the desert have been suggested as renewable alternatives to fossil fuels. But solar power has its critics, who have said that it's inefficient, impractical and horrendously expensive.
