Europe is failing its Muslims

For many of the millions of Muslims who have migrated to Europe since World War II, the continent has not been entirely welcoming. Integration and social mobility have been slow, and with Europe so enamoured with its secular Enlightenment values, both public attitudes and political institutions can seem very anti-Islam. Nor, in the aftermath of 9/11, have heavy-handed anti-terrorism initiatives helped. But who is responsible for this "us versus them" mindset? Should Europe make more concessions, or should Islam?
