Britain needs proportional representation

In Britain, we currently decide who will govern us using a system called First Past the Post, which means that the candidate who receives the most votes in each constituency is elected to serve there. This tends to favour the party in power, and there have long been calls for reform, especially from the Liberal Democrats. They say that changing to Proportional Representation would better reflect the significant support for smaller political parties.
