He may have come to office with a heartfelt promise of change, and restored America’s global standing after the brazen imperial excesses of the Bush administration, but, only nine months into his presidency, should the Nobel committee really have awarded their Peace Prize to Barack Obama? The war in Afghanistan is no closer to ending, there has been no breakthrough in the Middle East , and the world is still a divided and dangerous place.
